Built Around the Problems That Actually Matter
Pabst Electronics was founded by engineers who spent years working on electronics products across some of the most demanding industries in the world: industrial machinery, home appliances, laboratory instruments, and hazardous environment equipment.
In every one of those projects, the same defining factors separated successful product launches from expensive lessons: whether the product was designed to meet safety standards, whether it was built to last, and whether it was designed to be manufactured and tested efficiently.
We built Pabst Electronics around those realities — not as a marketing positioning exercise, but because they represent the actual engineering problems that determine whether a product succeeds in the market or becomes a liability.
Why We Exist
Holistic Design. Every Time.
True engineering excellence means the product works correctly, is legally certifiable, can be assembled consistently, can be tested efficiently, and will remain reliable throughout its service life.
Safety First
A product that fails a certification test after the hardware is final is not a finished design. We treat applicable standards as design inputs from day one.
Built to Last
Reliability is not an accident. It is the result of deliberate engineering decisions — derating, thermal management, worst-case analysis — applied consistently.
Made to Manufacture
A design that works on the bench but fails on the assembly line is an unfinished design. Manufacturability is a performance requirement, not an afterthought.
Testable by Design
ICT and FVT access is designed into every PCB from the layout stage. Full coverage, lower fixture cost, faster production qualification.
EMC by Design
EMC compliance is not a lucky outcome. It is the result of stack-up selection, filtering strategy, and layout discipline applied from the first schematic.
Fully Documented
Every component in a Pabst Electronics design is calculated and documented. Engineering integrity that ensures traceability across the product lifecycle.
Not a Freelance Marketplace.
A Specialized Engineering Team.
We Are Not a Freelance Marketplace
Every project at Pabst Electronics is handled by a dedicated engineering team with direct accountability. There are no handoffs to unknown subcontractors, no outsourced layout work, and no gaps in communication. You work with the engineers doing the work — from the first conversation to the final deliverable.
We Have Been Inside the Test Lab
Our engineers have not only designed products to safety and EMC standards — we have followed the execution of those tests firsthand. We know how IEC and UL compliance tests are actually conducted, what testers look for, and where unprepared designs typically fail. That practical knowledge directly improves every design we produce.
We Document Everything
Every component in a Pabst Electronics design is calculated and documented — including the pull-down resistors. This level of documentation discipline ensures that every design decision is traceable, defensible, and maintainable over the product’s lifecycle.
We Speak the Language of Standards
Standards like IEC 61010, IEC 60335, IEC/UL 60730, IEC 60079, and IEC 61000 are not obstacles to us — they are design inputs. Our team has hands-on experience designing to these standards, working with test laboratories, and navigating the certification process from first submission to final mark.
We Design for the Factory
Before a design leaves our hands, it has been evaluated against the capabilities of real assembly environments. Solderability, component placement, inspection access, rework feasibility, test coverage, and supply chain robustness are treated as engineering requirements — not optional refinements.
Nine Disciplines. One Team.
Safety, reliability, UI/UX, DFM, DFT, EMI/EMC, signal integrity, full documentation, and test plans — all delivered by a single integrated engineering team. Not nine separate freelancers. One accountable team.
Senior Engineers. Direct Communication.
When you bring a project to Pabst Electronics, you are working with senior engineers from the first conversation to the final deliverable — not account managers.
Hardware Design
Experienced hardware engineers covering schematic design, power electronics, analog and mixed-signal circuits, and component selection across all product categories.
PCB & Layout
PCB layout engineers with expertise in high-density, high-speed, and mixed-signal designs — applying DFM, DFT, and EMC constraints simultaneously.
Embedded Software
Firmware engineers who co-develop embedded software with the hardware — from peripheral drivers to application logic and hardware UI/UX implementation.
Regulatory Compliance
Engineers with first-hand experience in safety and EMC compliance test execution, technical file preparation, and laboratory coordination across IEC and UL.
EMI/EMC & Signal Integrity
Specialists in EMC design methodology, protection circuit engineering, signal integrity simulation, and pre-compliance test planning.
Documentation & Test
Engineers dedicated to producing complete, professional design documentation and comprehensive test plan packages — ICT, FVT, EOL, and pre-compliance.
